Some Examples of Too Buggy / Other:
* The script editor especially for 3D games became clunky and slow for medium sized projects between Director MX 04 and Director 11. It's a pain and annoying to wait 20 seconds for a script find operation. There is no multi-find. This is on a fast PC or Mac. Also doesn't seem to support multiple monitors on PC unless I've missed something.
* Most of my work is script/code dependent. Tooooo much wasted time to juggle with script editor.
* Too Unstable
* Bug troubles for those who have upgraded. Also want to see support for Xtras to not get limited.
* The script editor issue on Mac is the deal-breaker. I don't understand how simple shareware text editors can get this right, and Adobe can't. I can only put this down to incompetence on the D11 team.
* Lack of updated xtras
* Same old engine!
* very little call for it from clients - they want flash
* No AS3 integration
* No justification to upgrade.
* Need better language and debugging features
* Sorry, too many bugs to list.
* Hear of bugs on Director lists.
* After reading on the Director-L list the problems people are having, I think I'll just wait. At least Director-MX works.
* I read the reviews of other experienced Director users and knew it would be a waste of my time to evaluate 11. I'm waiting for 12 or 11.x
* Reading in the forums there are too many problems. However the main reason is lack of Flash support, and I have a new job that doesn't require much Director
* OSControl Xtra not available
* Essential Xtras not available
* price for added features makes it not tenable
* Although I have not evaluated it myself, I have heard many reports of issues on Director lists (primarily Direct-L) that makes me feel that I could not trust it for commercial work.
* Not enough changes to justify the upgrade
* Waiting for Director 12.
* Too buggy: experiences by online lists members
* Zero Director work these days
* Director 11 was a real let down nothing we wanted to see was there
* Crashes too often -- feel cheated with having paid for it. Consider it should not have been released in this state.
* Director 11 simply has unacceptable quality of design to even consider using. It is the worst available solution for any purpose
* No new compelling features. There is no reason to upgrade even if the bugs are fixed.
* Cannot invest further without confidence that future versions are soon to arrive. D11 broke the xtras essential for our development.
* Support Chinese Not enought.
* Too buggy: Despite the fact that I use it--crashes 10 or more times/day; new bug brings up some breakpoints at unrelated prepareframe, saves on some projects take forever
* I keep running into bugs, especially between Flash and Director. It also it very slow.
* Poor support for external scripts. No support for CVS. Poor support for modern video formats. No support for ActionScript 3.0. Problems making windows projectors from Mac. Older Xtras not supported any more. Too expensive.
* Given all of the complaints on the mailing lists, I will not move to it and risk harming my current projects.
* Discussions on Direct-L from early adopters indicate a very buggy and inadequate product.
* PhysX Issues ( performance, eg with detecting individual collisions due to having only one collision handler )
* Text engine are slowww, script window are slow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Some Examples of Bug Fixes:
* Vista works for 3D applications now
* I'm using it ONLY for the DX9 renderer
* With Director 11 I can author on my non-english keyboard MacIntel, which was not practical in Dir 10, where no keyboard shortcuts worked.
* Bugs linked to Vista (3D engine, QT) or MacOS X.5 (fonts)
* Vista 3d fixes
* Windows projector ram allocation issue.
* I'm using D11 because its the only way to keep my Director projects cross-platform. I would go back to D9 or D10 in a heartbeat. (Havok needs to come back by the way)
* Keyboard shortcuts on Macs running OS 10.3+ using foreign keyboard layouts !!!
* Mac Intel support (Universal binary) - Projector
